Evorel Sequi

Evorel Sequi is a sequential combined HRT patch system that delivers oestrogen and progestogen through the skin in a cyclical four-week pattern. It is designed for perimenopausal women and those in early postmenopause who have a womb, and produces a predictable monthly withdrawal bleed by mimicking the natural hormonal rhythm of the menstrual cycle.

What is Evorel Sequi?

Evorel Sequi is a transdermal sequential HRT system consisting of two patch types used in a repeating four-week cycle. In weeks one and two, you wear an Evorel 50 patch delivering oestrogen only (50 mcg estradiol per 24 hours). In weeks three and four, you switch to an Evorel Conti patch delivering both oestrogen and progestogen (50 mcg estradiol and 170 mcg norethisterone acetate per 24 hours). The oestrogen is body identical, the progestogen is synthetic, and because both patches are transdermal, hormones bypass the liver, which is associated with a lower risk of blood clots and stroke compared to oral HRT, in line with NICE guidance.

Benefits of Evorel Sequi

Evorel Sequi restores oestrogen and provides cyclic progestogen cover, bringing meaningful relief across a wide range of menopause symptoms while maintaining a structured monthly bleeding pattern. Many women begin to notice improvement within the first few weeks, with more sustained relief established by the three-month mark.

Evorel Sequi can help to relieve the following menopause symptoms:

  • Hot flushes and night sweats
  • Low mood, anxiety, and irritability
  • Sleep disturbance and fatigue
  • Brain fog and poor concentration
  • Reduced libido
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Joint aches and pains
  • Palpitations
1 Steady hormone delivery
2 Womb protection built in
3 Predictable monthly bleeding
4 Cardiovascular considerations
5 No first-pass liver metabolism
6 Bone health protection

Instructions for use

Evorel Sequi follows a four-week repeating cycle. Apply one Evorel 50 patch (oestrogen only) twice weekly for weeks one and two, then switch to one Evorel Conti patch (combined) twice weekly for weeks three and four. Change each patch every three to four days. Apply below the waist to clean, dry, hairless skin and rotate your site with every change.

Potential side effects of Evorel Sequi

As with all HRT, some women experience adjustment symptoms during the first weeks as your body adjusts to cyclical hormonal changes.
